Rifkind welcomes Uri's offer of help
THE Foreign Secretary has welcomed an offer from psychic Uri Geller
to help find four hostages, including two Britons held in Kashmir.
Malcolm Rifkind said he would be willing to listen to fresh ideas
on how to find the men captured by separatists nearly two years
ago.
Mr. Rifkind said: "Anyone, who in good faith and with good
intentions, wants to help find the hostages should be welcomed."
"If anyone believes there is a new initiative or idea that
can be tried, I want to hear about it."
The Foreign Secretary was speaking during a visit to Nottingham.
The hostages have not been seen for nearly a year.
Many feared they were dead after their Norwegian colleague Hans
Christian Ostroe was found beheaded in 1995
Mr. Rifkind said: "We very much hope they are still alive
and will continue to do so unless there is more conclusive proof
they are dead."
