A letter from Prince Charles to Uri Geller that arrived with the mask.

I am delighted that you are willing to help with The Prince's Trust Masks '96 campaign. It seems to me to be a relatively painless way of raising the wherewithal for The Trust's work with less privileged young people and also, perhaps, to add a little artistic diversion to everyday life ...

You will be pleased to know that I am not asking you to do something I have not done myself, although I must admit to having had some difficulty with my own attempt. I am used to watercolour, not acrylic, but I am assured that even my smudgy effort may raise a penny or two!

I am sure you will do much better, and am most grateful for your support.

Charles
