Uri knows the score!
SPOONbending Uri Geller helped Exeter City to victory against
Premiership club Chelsea by predicting a 2-1 score.
He turned out to be a lucky talisman for the home team when they
played Ruud Gullit's star-studded side on Monday night.
Uri, whose young son Daniel is a Grecians fanatic, wrote to chairman
of directors Ivor Doble to ask if they could both come to the
big game.
"When he predicted we were going to win 21 I didn't believe
him," said Mr Doble. "I told Uri I'd be quite happy
with a draw."
"I never dreamed we would have the chance to beat a top side
like Chelsea."
Uri confirmed his prophecy by faxing a copy of the prediction
he made before the match to Mr Doble on Tuesday.
The club supremo added: "Uri certainly helped us win through
his sheer confidence that we would do it. Every time we got the
ball he would put his head in his hands and concentrate."
