How sixth was victory for Uri
PARANORMAL expert Uri Geller today claimed a paremoral victory
in his bid to make racing driver Martin Brundle the toast of Norfolk.
The spoonbending champ predicted that Brundle would take the chequered
Hag in yesterday's British Grand Prix, as long as Evening News
readers touched a special orange spot published in Friday's paper.
By today, an unrepentant Mr Geller had changed his tune ever so
slightly but was still insisting it was "quite amazing"
that Brundle had come in sixth.
"I took a plane up above Silverstone and went round and round
and round."
"If I'd have met Martin Brundle and personally instilled
psychic confidence in him then he would definitely have come first,
second or third," he said.
Broadland Radio DJ Nik Coleman, who kicked off the Geller campaign,
was also upbeat.
"It was Brundle's equal best finish of the season,"
he said. "We hope to work with Uri again."
