Woman Cured of Crippling Arthritis While Watching Psychic Uri Geller Perform on TV


. . . Her Doctor Said: Nothing Could Be Done For Her - But Now She Walks Without Pain


A 79-year-old grandmother, crippled with arthritis for four years, suddenly got up and walked without pain - while watching famed psychic Uri Geller perform on television.
"I felt his powers had entered me and made me whole again," Mrs. Elisabeth Sorensen told The ENQUIRER with tears in her eyes. "I believe it was nothing short of a miracle."
The dramatic proof of Geller's amazing powers was witnessed by friends and relatives on the remote Danish island of Oro. They had gathered around the TV set at the local village inn to see if Geller could mend their broken watches.
Instead, he apparently healed Mrs. Sorensen's crippled leg.
Said her physician, Dr. Hans Vogensen: "Mrs. Sorensen was suffering from severe arthritis in her knee. There was nothing to be done that would help her. But after she watched Uri Geller on television, there's no doubt that the knee was unstiffened and she was able to bend it without pain.
"How can I explain what happened? I cannot . . ."
Mrs. Sorensen recalled: "Uri Geller had been on the TV screen about five minutes and I was rubbing my knee, as I always did, to ease the pain. I was thinking, `If he can make broken watches work again - what about my leg?' And then suddenly I realised something had happened.
"I stood up. The others were looking at two broken watches to see if they would start. My daughter looked up and said, 'Mother - you're walking normally.'"
"I found I could bend my knee and it didn't hurt a bit. I was so happy - I can't tell you how happy. Tears were in my eyes, and I just couldn't believe the wonderful thing I that had happened to me.
"I felt so good I actually did several deep knee bends and my right leg was just as normal as the left one."
Mrs. Sorensen's daughter, Mrs. Valdemar Bruun, remembered: "We couldn't believe our eyes. My mother had been crippled for four years.
"So you can imagine how we felt when we looked up from the broken watches and saw her walking without stiffness toward us."
"What's more, right after that both watches started again! ''
Another witness, Mrs. Karen Jensen, was equally stunned. "If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I would not have believed it!" she exclaimed.
"Everyone on the island knew the pain she suffered. Some days she wasn't even able to get up from her chair."
"Yet here she was, suddenly doing deep knee bends and walking normally, without even a cane. I think it's a miracle."
