Martial Arts Man builds on his success by opening new centers
BARNSTAPLE Martial arts Master Matt Fiddes is to open three new schools
to add to those he runs in Barnstaple, Bideford, Northam, Ilfracombe
and Torrington.
New ventures will be opening in Fremington and the Whiddon Valley in
Bamstaple as well one in South Molton. Matt said the Barnstaple venues
were being added both to meet demand and to try to overcome traffic
problems. "Many people find it difficult to get to our Black Belt
Academy in Castle Street because of the traffic jams in town."
he said. "I recognise this and aim to bring my academy to the people."
Matt, aged 22 opened his Castle Street fitness centre in January, 1977.
He now claims more than 700 members throughout North Devon and employs
more than 15 people to make his one of the biggest martial art schools
in the UK. Matt's recent successes have included a fitness Video - Matturi
- which he filmed in Barnstaple with close friend and famous Mindpower
exponent Uri Geller.
The video has become a top seller in the domestic market and is being
released in other countries later this year; he will be collaborating
on a video for the Heal the Kids charity, run by another famous friend,
singer Michael Jackson.
The academy can be contacted through its
website - www.matttiddes.com or by calling 0870 7422 118.
